Sandy City CLEAN UP

Sandy City clean up is a city SPRING and FALL clean up that you put all your trash and junk and yard clean up out on the curb and the city comes around and cleans it all up.  How Sweet is that!! Of course the previous owners left us with A TON of clean up and we still have a lot more to go but at least this is a start.

Bar stools remodel

Another one of the many new projects for our new home. My mother in law gave us her old bar stools so I have made them my own by spraying the metal frames to match our oil rubbed bronze hardware and replace the old leather seat with new fabric. I was pretty impressed with myself. Now on to the next five chairs and one more project will be done.

Update On Life

Update:
Since taking my new job a month and a half ago and moving into our house life has been absolutely nuts!  My job is A LOT more work than I ever thought possible.  Keeping up with both properties, making the owners happy and my boss, while learning new properties and the company has thrown me for a loop.  Also, once again, the main property I work out of is FOR SALE!  I feel like a can't catch a break.  I will be staying with my same company when the property sales but don't exactly know where I will end up. 
The house is AWESOME.  Parking in a garage is the best feeling ever.  Danny and I have been working on cleaning and updating the basement so that we can rent it out as an income suite.  I will post before and after pictures when they are ready.  It has been so fun to see how excited Danny gets about all the MANLY things he is learning and doing (like operating a power drill :) ).  This house has a laundry list of never ending updates and improvements we want to make but I am SO SO SO excited to do it all. 
Danny is working very hard to make sure we are taken care of.  His work is going great and hopefully pretty soon he will be full commission again and making even more than what he does now so I don't have to stress so much. 

We have been very blessed lately and love all our family and friends for all their love, help and support through everything we have been through!!!

All the Munchkins Together Again

Milly and Aspen were in town so of course grandma got them all dolled up and matching for some super cute pictures!!!  I LOVE being an aunt to all these crazy munchkins!

Danny's 29th Birthday

I felt really bad this year because Danny's birthday just kind of came an went.  We did do dinner with all his friends which I didn't get a picture of but he planned it all and these are some pictures from his small family party.  I have been really busy with work and the new house and super stressed so I was not a very attentive, loving wife this year.  Next year it is my plan to make up for it 10 fold!!

Indoor Soccer

Danny's indoor soccer game on his birthday.  He scored 2 goals for the team and it made his night that I was willing to go to this 11PM game in Bountiful.   He is so cute!!

Hayden is 1!!!

This sweet little boy is already 1!!! I can't believe how fast time flies by.  He was so happy and adorable for his birthday.  He even got cake all over :)

New Job!

I absolutely LOVE to keep life interesting and changing as much as possible for some reason.  I was told by a VERY reliable source that I should apply for a new management company.  So I did.  I applied, got the job and start in 2 days!!  I am super excited to finally make a job change that is MY choice.  The property I work on has been sold and bought and management has changed twice in the last year and a half and I am ready to make a change.  I will be managing two separate properties, one down town and one in North Salt Lake.  http://liveatridgeviewapts.com/  and http://www.liveatalliance.com/seven65lofts.  One is a brand new property and the other is an old one they are renovating to make it modern and updated!!  I can't wait to work for this new company and learn about two new markets and how to run two properties at the same time!! Life just keeps getting more and more exciting. 

Danny's job is doing fabulous,  we are buying a new house, and we are taking a 10 day trip to Costa Rica in April!  Life could not get any better right now! 

House Offer Accepted...Now What?

We were informed today that our house offer was accepted in a record breaking 10 days!!!  We were told that a short sale could take from 6-12 months to go through...boy were we fooled!!  So now on to the 25 day cram everything into it and get it all approved process.  We have 25 days to make sure our loan is taken care of and approved, get the house appraised (hopefully it appraises for what we offered or even better, more than we offered), and get the inspection done.  The last two items are the ones I am most worried about.  If the house doesn't appraise for what we offered then we would have to see if they will lower the price or walk away.  And the inspection, who knows how that could go.  The house was built in 1974 and needs A LOT of work on the inside so hopefully that doesn't equate to A LOT of work everywhere else.  I feel like this is a little to good to be true but that is the pessimist in me coming out.  I LOVE this house and want it so bad.

1st House Offer Submitted!!

Danny and I went out house shopping again and put our 1st offer in.  The house is AWESOME!!! Big, BEAUTIFUL yard, PERFECT location and ... in our price range :)!! It is a short sale and needs A LOT of work.  But we LOVE it.  All weekend we could stop talking about everything we can do in the house to make it perfect for us.  I am just dreaming about the days I can spend outside planting flowers and pulling weeds.  After living in apartments for so long I just can't wait to have outside space all my own! The best part about this house is that it has an income property in the basement that we could rent out and someone else could pay more than half our mortgage while we reno the upper floors.  How fabulous is that!! 

The house is a SHORT SALE so there is a chance we may not get it but if we don't I really might cry.  We are still going to look at other homes just in case this doesn't fall through and who knows, we may find an even better home. 

Snowmobiling: Sales Retreat

Every year so far VLCM(Danny's work) does a sales retreat that I get to go on.  We had an amazing dinner Friday night and breakfast and snowmobiling Saturday at Daniel's Summit.  We did this a few years ago to and we have a blast!!  Kevin came this year with his date Carly (who Danny and I REALLY liked).

Starting the HOUSE HUNT!

Danny and I have been paying off debt and saving money like crazy the last 2 years and are ready make one of the biggest decisions in life...BUYING A HOUSE.  We are super excited and way nervous.  Our friend and realtor Ricky is going to find us the house that we will hopefully live in for the next 5-10 years +.  After moving 12 times in the last 8 years I honestly NEVER want to move again after this.  I am hoping we find a house we can live in forever if possible.  Danny and I have very similar styles, wants and needs so I am hoping this doesn't take to much of a toll on our marriage.  We have looked at some listings online and are finally going to start looking at houses this Saturday!!  I am so so so excited.  Because house prices and interest rates are so low right now we think it is the best time for us.  The biggest difference Danny and I will have is that he wants a NEW house and I would love to buy an OLD house and slowly remodel it to be perfect for us.  We will see what we find and how our opinions change over the next few months.  This should turn out interesting.
