1st House Offer Submitted!!

Danny and I went out house shopping again and put our 1st offer in.  The house is AWESOME!!! Big, BEAUTIFUL yard, PERFECT location and ... in our price range :)!! It is a short sale and needs A LOT of work.  But we LOVE it.  All weekend we could stop talking about everything we can do in the house to make it perfect for us.  I am just dreaming about the days I can spend outside planting flowers and pulling weeds.  After living in apartments for so long I just can't wait to have outside space all my own! The best part about this house is that it has an income property in the basement that we could rent out and someone else could pay more than half our mortgage while we reno the upper floors.  How fabulous is that!!

The house is a SHORT SALE so there is a chance we may not get it but if we don't I really might cry.  We are still going to look at other homes just in case this doesn't fall through and who knows, we may find an even better home.

Snowmobiling: Sales Retreat

Every year so far VLCM(Danny's work) does a sales retreat that I get to go on.  We had an amazing dinner Friday night and breakfast and snowmobiling Saturday at Daniel's Summit.  We did this a few years ago to and we have a blast!!  Kevin came this year with his date Carly (who Danny and I REALLY liked).

Starting the HOUSE HUNT!

Danny and I have been paying off debt and saving money like crazy the last 2 years and are ready make one of the biggest decisions in life...BUYING A HOUSE.  We are super excited and way nervous.  Our friend and realtor Ricky is going to find us the house that we will hopefully live in for the next 5-10 years +.  After moving 12 times in the last 8 years I honestly NEVER want to move again after this.  I am hoping we find a house we can live in forever if possible.  Danny and I have very similar styles, wants and needs so I am hoping this doesn't take to much of a toll on our marriage.  We have looked at some listings online and are finally going to start looking at houses this Saturday!!  I am so so so excited.  Because house prices and interest rates are so low right now we think it is the best time for us.  The biggest difference Danny and I will have is that he wants a NEW house and I would love to buy an OLD house and slowly remodel it to be perfect for us.  We will see what we find and how our opinions change over the next few months.  This should turn out interesting.

Thankful For

Today I am so thankful for this guy...
I really am the luckiest girl in the world to wake up to this every morning!  I love how his cheeks smoosh his lips together so they are all puckered up and his perfect nose that I hope ALL of our children inherit.  He is the best thing in my life and he really completes me.  We have been together for 7 years plus now and every day really does only get better.  He is my rock and knows just how to make my day every time.  Isn't he just the cutest thing!!! I love you honey!

Halloween 2011

I was able to get away for the weekend while Danny was in South Dakota pheasant hunting with his dad and brother.  I stayed with my parents in Roy and decided to spend some quality time with the fam.  I planned a night out with my little munchkins (Ellie and Adler).  Uncle Luke and Aunt Shaylee were invited to and I am SO glad they came.  They had this huge side at the start of the Corn Maze that was so fun.  Ellie and Alder went down about 20 times and LOVED every minute.  They got us to go down a couple time with them and it was not the softest side I have ever been on.  Then we went inside the maze.  We let Ellie and Adler lead the way the entire time and within 30 min they had found the end.  I wasn't about to let them get off that quickly so I told a fib and said that I thought that was the beginning so we walked around for anther half hour :).

After the maze was the pumpkin carving! Ellie hated touching the pumpkin guts because they were so slimy and Adler LOVED every second of it.  We ended up carving pumpkins with George, Stacy and Toad also.  It was a lot of fun and reminded me of just why I LOVE HALLOWEEN so much.  It was kind of cold so we got out the spot light and the portable heater, bundled up and carved away.

Shaylee was gathering all the pumpkin seeds to eat later.

Getting the guts out.

Adler carving.  He was determined to have the BEST pumpkin.
